My Professional Organizations
Participation in our professional groups ensures the development of the counseling discipline & having cutting-edge information to help our students. Involvement role models appropriate strategic skills to our students & newer colleagues. I am an active member of the below professional groups.
I am retiring from Moorpark College to have time to devote to Professional Development and Charitable Causes. I will be active with the three groups:
1. APCDA (Lifetime Member/button is below)
2. NAAHP (Emeritus Status/button is below)
3. Peaceful Advocacy:
Counseling Ethics is an interest & not a group to which I belong.
Dr. Lisa Raufman - CCDA President - talking to Professor Phoenix Ho of Vietnam and Counselors from around the world at the APCDA & IAEVG Conferences in Japan, 2015:
"...career counseling could make a difference in empowering people throughout the world..."
My Top Three Charitable Groups
Disclaimer: I am not affliated with religious organizations & select groups based on their reputation for high integrity & success.
I have had recent membership in the following and I still read their literature:
American Psychological Association: The Foundation for Human Enrichment: Association for Humanistic Counseling:
Commit to end sex & human trafficking. Purchases through Smile Amazon could help this group. At http://smile.amazon.com/ designate them as your charity.
Lobby for peace, help the incarcerated, & save the environment.
Aid the disenfrancised & refugees from around the world at a Center of Peace & Understanding in Mexico City.
I pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority through the CPSLO Lambda Nu Chapter.
